Leading subsea controls specialist J+S Subsea is celebrating after scooping two prestigious industry awards.
At the Subsea Expo Awards at P&J Live in Aberdeen, the Kintore-based company lifted one of the night’s most sought-after accolades when it was crowned Company of the Year (under 50 employees). In addition, Environmental and Sustainability Adviser Kairvee Tyagi was named as the winner of the Rising Star category in what was described as: “a strong field of nominees.”
The news continues a momentous run in the world of awards, with J+S Subsea also recording a hat-trick of finalist’s places in the prestigious Centre for Engineering, Education & Development (CeeD) Awards 2024.
With more than 100 applications received this year, the CeeD Awards are hotly contested across a range of categories, with winners to be announced in Glasgow on February 29th at a special event set to be attended by more than 600 people.
The company has also reached the finals of the prestigious Offshore Achievement Awards in the category for Exceptional SME/Founder and won the Sustainability Award at the Decom Mission awards last year.
The latest announcements continue the company’s ambitious growth plans in the renewables, decommissioning and other sectors, and they recognise an important stride forward in expanding the global footprint of the 30-strong team headquartered in Aberdeenshire. They come just months after the company’s largest single contract since a management buyout and keep it on track to achieve revenues of upwards of £10 million.
Commenting on the news from the Subsea Expo Awards, J+S Subsea Managing Director Phil Reid said: “We are incredibly proud of Kairvee and the rest of the team. These important awards are valuable industry recognition of everyone’s efforts in ensuring J+S Subsea stays ahead of the curve and at the forefront of our sector.”
He added: “Reaching the finals of no less than three sections of the prestigious CeeD Awards represents further important recognition of the hard work and dedication shown by the entire team, including Lucinda Craig whose energy and drive is replicated across our team.”
